Fever Subsides

Well, the world cup must have been one of the most, if not the most, blogged about event for these couple of months. Controversies spiralled out of controlled in the end, culminating in a most bizarre fashion. The headbutt almost felt too surreal for groggy people like me staying up late in a different timezone. The most entertaining things since the world cup ended, were reading comments by players and checking out YouTube.

First off, it really cracked me up when I read Materazzi’s father’s comments.

“‘In the past two years, Marco has only been on the receiving end and the injuries he has sustained are proof of this.”

Well well, please take a look at the rogue on the pitch, bad audio though..

Then the enormous amount of headbutt edits pouring into YouTube.. Ahh, the power and entertainment of user generated content, from mario to mortal kombat to any random fun! Enjoy =)

DIY

I’m back and still busy! It feels weird when we’re given corny topics for our creative communications essay. Sometimes my creative comm lecturer feels like she’s imbibed too many chicken soup books, always so spontaneous and spiritual. But don’t get me wrong, I like her as a person, just don’t quite enjoy her lessons. Nevermind about that because the holidays are coming! just one and a half months to go. Pretty excited as I’m planning a short backpacking trip to Australia!

Anyway a few links for the DIY lovers, they host some really neat projects, check them out..

Maiden Post

July 2, 2006 by antibin

With the prospects of a potential digression fully dispelled, I can finally concentrate on design and work. School life’s pretty hectic and trying to do extra chores is a pain in the ass. Let’s just hope that I can eventually pick up some momentum and start doing decent work.

Nothing glorious to say in this first post, except that I’m currently an internationally ignored design student and a part-time slob. Struggling to dust off the woeful inertia while stuck in a race against time for assignments, so I hope to see you soon.
